Difference between natural and synthetic hairs
The natural bristles, which are thinner than pores and taper toward the tip, have scaly cuticles that allow the powder to enter the brush smoothly and each bristle catches the powder firmly.
However, synthetic hairs do not have cuticles and do not take in powder as well as natural hairs.
This is the biggest difference between natural and synthetic hairs.

Traditional brush-making techniques
Kumano brush craftsmen use special tools to pluck cowlicks and damaged hairs repeatedly, and finish the brush tips with the feel of their skilled fingersinstead of cutting them with scissors.
Brushes with cut tips do not catch and hold powder as well as those finished with natural hairs by Kumano Fude craftsmen.
Both of the two factors, traditional techniques and natural materials, make Kuano Fude brushes hold powder well. With Kumano Fude brushes, you can finish your make up naturally without any special technique.
